Project consisted of removing and replacing existing roofing and spot replacement of structural metal deck. During the initial roof survey, observation of the metal decking showed significant deterioration due to rust. The deck was determined to be safe for the new roof load but was not sufficient to hold mechanical fasteners to wind uplift requirements. Therefore, a thermoplastic insulation adhesive was specified. We provided daily oversight to determine which deck pieces were to be replaced. The photo shows a pull test verifying the adhesive strength.
